Payroll Giving is an easy and tax-efficient way for your staff to support us. Employees can sign up to give money each month straight from their pay packet. Donations are taken before tax, so you can see how effective this is:

Regular donations are really important for us because with guaranteed income we can plan ahead. Payroll giving is also a great way to boost staff morale and has been shown to improve recruitment and retention rates.
How to Start
You need to register your company with a Payroll Giving Agency (PGA) which is a simple and easy process. For more information visit the HMRC website.
Run an awareness campaign with your employees. We can help with any internal promotions to encourage your staff to support our work.
Ask the agency any questions raised by your employees.
Make deductions each time you run payroll.
The donation will be taken from your employees’ pay before tax but after National Insurance.
Send the donations to your agency – they’ll pass them on to the chosen charities.
Agencies may charge an administration fee. They usually deduct this from employees’ donations before they pass them to the charity. You can choose to pay the fee, meaning that Orchid will get more money.
You can deduct any costs of running the scheme from your business profits before tax.
If your employees and company would like to support us through payroll giving, please call us a call on 020 3745 7310 or email corporates@orchid-cancer.org.uk.
