🎭 Prostate Not Prostrate: When Silence Is the Real Thief

Mon0lisa Productions and Orchid, alongside the Orchid Nottingham Community Champions, are joining forces once again — and going way beyond basic leaflet awareness. We’re taking prostate cancer conversations off the page and onto the stage, straight into the community where they matter most.

This bold, witty, truth-telling play follows Patty Dumplin as she nudges (…and lovingly nags!) her husband toward something too many men avoid: a simple check that could save his life.

Inspired by the lived experiences of Nottingham’s Community Champions — with a special appearance by Champion Osbourne Taylor — the performance blends comedy and real stories to break through the silence that steals too many futures.

Black men are disproportionately affected by prostate cancer, and this partnership is committed to tackling that reality through creativity, connection, and courageous conversation. Because awareness shouldn’t be passive — it should resonate, empower, and spark action.
