International Penile Cancer Awareness Day – 20th September
In 2020, Orchid proposed that 20th September be recognised as International Penile Cancer Awareness Day — a dedicated opportunity to shine a light on this rare but life-changing disease.
The first Awareness Day was marked with a virtual conference, bringing together healthcare professionals, patients, survivors, and advocates. It offered a unique space for sharing experiences, insights, and providing peer support.
Since then, Orchid has continued to champion this important day, working each year to raise awareness through healthcare engagement, survivor stories, advocacy, and outreach across social and other media.
🟦🟥 Support the Cause
You can show your support by ordering a penile cancer awareness badge. The pin’s distinctive blue and maroon design was created by John Grasso, a penile cancer survivor and active member of the online support community. Orchid is proud to have supported its creation.
