Orchid at The European Association of Urology and Urology Nurses Conference, Amsterdam

Orchid nurse Rob recently attended the European Association of Urology (EAU), and Urology Nurses Conferences in Amsterdam along with two patient advocates of penile cancer who have both used Orchid services. Together they presented talks on the need to improve support and survivorship for those affected by the disease.

Both advocates are also working with the EAU to improve the current guidelines for penile cancer. In the words of one: “Presenting at the EAU Congress and working with the Guidelines Panel was an interesting and very rewarding experience. It was an ideal chance to raise awareness, challenge stigma and improve understanding of penile cancer. It was great to have the opportunity and support of our ERN eUROGEN colleagues to forge new alliances in support of ‘the way forward’.”
